Three Reasons to Celebrate

We’re not even through the first half of the year yet, but 2025 has already given us three big reasons to celebrate.

In late February, one of our apprentices, Grant, graduated from the Precision Machinist program, and we were honored to reward him with his own Sirois Tool toolbox in March.

On April 5, we launched a press release to let the industry know that we’re now authorized resellers of Mitutoyo Indicators for Dow gages.

And on April 27, we celebrated our 65th anniversary! It was on this day in 1960 that our company’s founder, Robert Sirois, launched Sirois Tool to provide high precision cutting tools for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and other companies.

While all three of these events are noteworthy, one of them means a little bit more to us than the others.

Our new ability to offer Mitutoyo Indicators on Dow Gages is good news because it provides our customers with more options while increasing our flexibility. And surviving – and thriving – for 65 years in an extremely competitive industry is an accomplishment that deserves to be celebrated.

But these events don’t produce the same warm feelings we get when one of our apprentices graduates.

Students like Grant make us proud and give us hope for the future. We’re proud of him for achieving his goal, and we’re proud that we played a part in helping him launch a career in an industry with unlimited career possibilities. We know that Grant will apply what he’s learned to help our company grow, just as the six apprentices who graduated before him have.

Developing tomorrow’s workforce is important to Sirois Tool, and whatever milestones we celebrate, celebrating one of our graduating apprentices will always be the biggest highlight of our year.
