Successful SMI Show Indicates a Strong Future for Spring Manufacturing

North American Spring Tool (NAST) exhibited at the SMI (Spring Manufacturers’ Institute) Engineering Expo in Hartford CT on October 3-5. “It was a good show” according to Alan Ortner, President of NAST. He goes on to say that it was a well laid out show floor with quality exhibitors and attendees.
The show provided an opportunity to catch up with existing customers and meet some new prospects. There were many Spring Machine manufacturers there and NAST was able to talk to some of them about Spring Tooling. In fact, one of the manufacturers has already taken the time to visit NAST at their Berlin CT location.
In addition, Alan would like to compliment NESMA (New England Spring Manufacturers Association) on the River Cruise they organized. It was a sold out event that offered additional networking opportunities for those in the industry.
NAST provides a complete line of carbide and steel tooling for the spring industry. Products and services include: Special Tooling, Duplicate Tooling, Carbide Applications, Engineering Assistance and Salvage/Rework.
