Anyone who has heard of Sirois Tool has a pretty good idea of what we do. We are, first and foremost, expert toolmakers, and we’re proud to be on the short list of people to call when someone needs custom tooling, fixtures, and gages. Producing custom, low volume parts with tight tolerances is also one of our specialties.
What some people may not realize, however, is that we also offer precision assembly. In fact, we routinely produce complete assemblies and subassemblies for several manufacturers to help them meet their production goals. That said, we are NOT an assembly house.
Sirois Tool is a partner when you need low volume, precision assemblies with creative solutions.
Sometimes we machine all the components in our customers’ assemblies, but we often integrate parts procured from other suppliers, too. Ultimately, we do whatever is most practical and beneficial for the assembly and our customer. Examples of ways in which we’ve provided additional expertise related to an assembly include:
- Match grinding to ensure assembly components precisely mate.
- Building a test stand so we can test our customers’ assemblies before they’re shipped.
By leveraging our expertise, our manufacturing customers can expect high quality assemblies with precise tolerances. This is particularly important in the custom machinery industry, where stringent quality standards leave no room for error.
Our customers have determined that it’s more practical to have us complete their assemblies than finish them on their own. Offloading their assembly tasks to us allows these customers to focus their efforts on what they do best. And because we have likely machined many of the components for the assembly, we’re often able to assemble them more efficiently than they could. This accelerates production while simultaneously reducing the risk of costly errors.
In the highly competitive world of manufacturing, timely delivery, quality, and cost are the biggest contributors to success. Partnering with a company that can manufacture precision parts and assemble them can help you improve these metrics, and when the company performing the assembly is filled with skilled toolmakers and machinists, you can expect rapid resolution of any assembly issues.
When you think of Sirois Tool, we hope you’ll think of us as a flexible, all-inclusive source for your manufacturing needs – including match grinding and assembly.
