In an effort to better serve our customers’ requirements, Sirois Tool has purchased a new Haas DS-30Y. This Y-axis turning center combines dual-spindle turning with Y axis, C axis, and live tooling to create a powerful machining solution. Off-center milling, drilling, and tapping operations are possible for increased machining capabilities.

The DS-30Y has a 12-station BMT65 turret and synchronized C axis for versatile 4-axis capability. The opposed spindles support fully synchronized turning, and allow on-the-fly part pass-off to reduce cycle times. All this adds up to more efficient precision parts production, lower costs and shorter lead times for the appropriate parts.

We have also completely updated the layout of our CNC Lathe department to be more efficient. This new layout leaves room to add more equipment as needed to best serve our customers. Our CNC Lathe department also includes:

• MAZAK QTS 300M CNC Turn/Mill with a 12″ chuck and up to 3.0″ bar size through the chuck and live milling tools for on center milling operations such as flats, cross holes and face holes.
• *HAAS ST25Y CNC Turn/Mill with a 10″ chuck and up to 3″ bar size through the chuck with a Y-axis and a 12-station turret with high-torque live tooling C axis
• *HAAS ST25 CNC Turning Center with a 10″ chuck and up to 3″ bar size through the chuck
