Sirois Employees Expand their Expertise and Reach Major Milestones

We’re pleased to shine a spotlight on two outstanding members of the Sirois team who are accomplishing big things!

Tim S. recently completed his CNC Machinist apprenticeship, a demanding program that took him more than two-and-a-half years to finish. We hired Tim as a part-time employee back in April of 2018 as part of the Work-Based Learning Program, while he was still a student at Vinal Tech. When he graduated later that year, he came on board full-time. This fall, he wrapped up the 6,000 hours of training required in the apprenticeship, and he officially became a CNC Precision Machinist. Tim is the fourth employee at Sirois to complete this in-depth training program, and the third was actually Tim’s older brother, Ray!

Nick S. is another outstanding Sirois employee. While working full-time at Sirois, Nick is pursuing his BS degree in Manufacturing Management at Central Connecticut State University. He takes classes in the evenings, maintains a GPA over 3.5 and is on the Dean’s List. Nick was hired in July of 2018, and he’s already shown amazing initiative and a wide range of skills and abilities. He started out as an Entry Level Manufacturing Engineer, and the following year he was promoted to Customer Manager. In the spring of this year, he worked with our quality manager to develop and implement a DMAIC Return/Rework Manual, a school project that is also a great contribution to our processes at Sirois.

Nick says he’s looking forward to having some personal time back when he graduates at the end of this year. It’s been a long road! While he puts all the knowledge he’s gained to work as part of the Sirois team, he’s also eager to spend some time hiking, barbecuing, pursuing photography, and of course, spending more time with family and friends.

At Sirois, we know we can’t provide the service our customers have come to expect without exceptional employees. That’s why we support and encourage all members of our team to pursue training and education whenever possible—and why we are so proud to acknowledge the accomplishments of folks like Tim and Nick.
