NESMA Cruise Night Brings In Caravan of Cars
The first-ever annual NESMA Cruise Night sponsored by North American Spring Tool turned out a fleet of cars and motorcycles, including about 50 attendees who came to enjoy the horsepower, food, and fun with fellow automotive enthusiasts.
The Winner of the People’s Choice Award was a 1955 Chevy Bel Air, boasting polished chrome under the hood and a gleaming red exterior. The lineup also featured a recent model Ferrari, restored Cadillac convertible, and a suspension-lifted Dodge Power Wagon pick-up truck. There was a vehicle for every aspiring car buff or hard-core machine enthusiast to admire.
The event was open to all employees of NESMA (New England Spring and Metalstamping Association) member companies in an effort to bring together manufacturers of the high quality springs found in automobiles. Whether it’s a spring used for a car’s suspension or its transmission and valves, automotive springs are found in a wide range of automotive applications and are necessary for safe and efficient use.
NAST is part of an alliance of companies who are members of NESMA, working together to support the spring industry and their suppliers through education, legislation, and development of a technical labor force.
