Military Spending Will Climb in 2025. Sirois Tool is Prepared.
Earlier this year, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) released the President’s Fiscal Year 2025 Defense Budget request, which totals $849.8 billion.
In a subsequent news release, Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III said the budget includes “investments in cutting-edge capabilities across all domains. That includes $48.1 billion for naval and shipbuilding capabilities, $61.2 billion to reinforce U.S. air dominance, and $13 billion to bolster Army and Marine Corps combat capabilities.”
The DoD plans to allocate an additional $33.7 billion for space defense.
As expected, the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza have increased our nation’s military spending, just as the Iraq war did. Defense companies like Boeing and Lockheed Martin were busier than ever during that conflict, and so were their suppliers.
We hate wars, but as manufacturers (and more importantly, Americans) we must be prepared to support the increased manufacturing needs of our military and its allies during these times of conflict.
How Sirois Tool Helps
As a small, veteran owned business and a second-tier DoD supplier, we’re honored to provide tooling, gages, parts, and/or assemblies to the defense industry. For security reasons, we can’t share details about the products we provide, but we can say that we help with the following DoD systems:
- Weapon Systems
- Vision Systems
- Life Support Systems
Sirois Tool and its subsidiary, Dow Gage, are registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). Our CAGE codes are 5JJY8 and 9A305, respectively.
As part of our SAM registration, we also comply with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), which governs all aspects of government procurement.
Sirois Tool is also registered with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Joint Certification Program (JCP), the government has entrusted us to safeguard Military Critical Technical data. If you read our recent cybersecurity blog, you know we take this privilege very seriously.
We began proactively working toward achieving compliance with the DoD’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC 2.0) long before its formal publication, and we’re near completion.
We’re proud to safeguard our nation’s sensitive data while supporting its defense manufacturing needs today, and we look forward to serving this critical industry again in 2025.
