Major Expansion Is Under Way at Sirois Tool

On April 25th Sirois Tool broke ground, paving the way for a 5,000 square foot expansion. This substantial addition is an increase to the existing 20,000 square feet of manufacturing space. Numerous improvements and growth opportunities are planned for the addition. The electrical discharge machining (EDM) and wire EDM departments will see immediate expansion.

An integral part of the expansion includes new improvements to the consolidated assembly, inventory and shipping departments, as well as an enlarged inspection area and additional office space.

Some of the available new space will be allocated for projected growth, both for internal use as well as for future strategic acquisitions. The exciting prospect of future company development is in evidence as the construction project continues.

All construction on the expansion will be done with the same high quality as the current building, using many of the original contractors. Two local Berlin companies are responsible for the ground work: Coastland Enterprises for site work and Nadeau Brothers for foundation work. Plainville’s Aiudi & Sons Concrete are supplying the concrete, and Carl DelCegno of Knaus Builders of New Britain is managing the construction.

As a manufacturer of precision tooling and gage products, Sirois Tool is committed to serving the bearing, medical, aerospace, and firearm industries and OEM manufacturers. The expansion will help provide a higher level of manufacturing performance and service to all customers.

The target date for project completion is set for August. Stay tuned for updates and new photos of the construction as the expansion progresses.
