Bearing Industry Innovations & Trends

If you’ve followed us long enough, you already know that Sirois Tool has been working with the bearing industry since the 1960s.
Today, nearly 70 years later, this industry still represents an important part of our business, and we expect strong growth in this sector over the next decade.
According Statista, the value of the supply chain management industry is expected to reach nearly $31B by 2026.
As the need for bearings accelerates, we’re seeing new innovations and trends emerge.
Last year, Quality Bearings Online posted a blog titled “The Future of Bearings: Emerging Technologies and Trends” and highlighted some of them. Among the most notable are Smart Bearings, which provide real-time data on bearing performance. This allows users to predict when maintenance will be needed.
Smart Bearings can also detect signs of abnormal vibration, which can indicate imbalances or misalignments, and they include temperature monitoring sensors to detect overheating.
Sirois Tool provides bearing manufacturers with everything from tooling for grinding inner and outer races, to fixtures and gages used to assemble and inspect their bearings. We also work with third party supply chain management companies, who procure the components needed to manufacture bearings.
New trends and innovations are changing the way bearings are manufactured and Sirois Tool will adjust our processes as needed to support them. One thing that won’t change is our mission to support our customers and help them produce bearings more efficiently.
