Alan Ortner, Sirois Tool President and Owner, named Chairman of NTMA
The Board of Trustees of the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA) recently elected the president and owner of Sirois Tool, Alan Ortner, to a second three-year term on their Executive Committee, and on October 30, that committee selected him to serve as Chairman of NTMA for 2021. His duties will commence January 1, 2021.
As Chairman, Alan will also serve on the board of the National Tooling and Machining Foundation (NTMF) as well as the board of Advanced Manufacturing Practice and Education Development (AMPED). These two non-profit organizations are focused on supporting and funding manufacturing education, with the dual goals of building skills and increasing awareness of career opportunities in the industry.
“I am excited to lead the NTMA Executive Committee for 2021 and to represent all the members of this critically important national association,” Alan said. “I look forward to continuing to work with my fellow Executive Committee members, our President, Roger Atkins, and all of the staff of NTMA.”
NTMA is the national representative of the precision custom manufacturing industry. It has nearly 1,100 members and represents more than $30 billion in sales in the sector. In addition to providing a powerful voice to the industry, the organization also serves as a valuable national resource for all its members.
All of us at Sirois applaud Alan’s leadership in the precision tooling and machining industry, and we are so proud that he will be contributing in such a visible and impactful way. We know the organization, and the industry as a whole, will benefit from his guidance. Congratulations, Alan!
